AP Government’s endeavor to complete LED Street-Lighting By December
Setting a target of creating world record in Smart Street Lighting project, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to use steps to launch Alert Management System (AMS), a delivery mechanism with global standards to deal with complaints designed for LED streetlights, to all gram panchayats from the State.

The Chief Minister, throughout a teleconference with officials of the time and Rural Development departments within the progress of flagship programmes, said the State had already made a national record in LED street lighting project and therefore the force and Panchayat Raj department should look at achieving world record. “The gram panchayat LED street lighting project might be the perfect large-scale rural LED programme in the world,” he was quoted saying.

Until now, 15.92 lakh LED street lights were set up in rural and urban areas, which covers around 1 / 4 within the nation’s LED street lighting.
