Axis confirms Expo 2020 participation International Security Journal
Axis Communications will be participating at the World Expo 2020 happening in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from 20 October 2020 to 10 April 2021. Axis is one of the official partners in the Swedish Pavilion located in the sustainability arena.
Ray Mauritsson, President and CEO of Axis Communications said, “We see this being an exciting opportunity and therefore are proud to be among the companies to represent Sweden. The theme for Expo 2020 is well aligned with this business and core values, as is the theme for the Swedish pavilion. Axis is definitely an innovative, pioneering organisation where we work at making smarter and safer societies, and we're looking forward to demonstrating this in the Expo.”
The theme of Expo 2020 is “Connecting Minds – Allowing the Future” and the exhibition includes three areas: Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability. The Swedish pavilion will be focusing on Smart Cities, Next Generation Travel & Transport, Life Science, Circular Economy, Connected Industry and Smart Society.
Philippe Kubbinga, Regional Director, Axis Communications Middle East & Africa added, “At Axis, we're constantly challenging things as they are and inspiring innovation. Participating at the Expo 2020 as part of the Swedish Pavilion is another part of that direction. We'll demonstrate state-of-the-art security solutions across video, audio, access control along with a selection of analytics such as people counting, traffic management and more. We are proud of our participation as well as being the host country. We're certain that the Expo 2020 will open a brand new chapter in innovative possibilities for that UAE and the world and we're eagerly getting excited about that.”
The Swedish pavilion, which will be found in the Sustainability area, will be one of the single largest export promotion activities carried out by the Swedish Government in the coming years. The theme for the Swedish pavilion is “Co-creation for Innovation”. Besides taking part in the exhibition by displaying Axis network solutions for improved security, Axis will be responsible for video surveillance as part of the security solution for that Swedish Pavilion.
