XLamp CMT LED Arrays Deliver 45% More Lumen Density

These new high-current LEDs supply the industry’s best lumen output, efficacy and reliability for high-drive currents. The CMT LEDs deliver around 45 percent more lumen density and up to 17 % higher efficacy than similar LEDs.

The Cree XLamp CMT LED arrays feature a modern metal substrate technology that generates higher reliability than other LEDs which also use metal chip-on-board (COB) packaging. The CMT LEDs may be mounted with the the heating sink without a separate circuit board, eliminating the advantages of holders, simplifying the luminaire manufacturing process, and reducing system cost. The latest CMT LEDs are best with the existing ecosystem of holders and optics for that CXA2 (CXB) LED family, enabling lighting manufacturers to improve the lumen production of their goods with minimal redesign.

The CMT LED family includes ten LEDs with light emitting surface (LES) sizes covering anything from 9.8 mm to 22 mm to deal with lots of lighting applications, including track, downlight, directional, low- and high-bay, and architectural designs. Featuring Cree’s EasyWhite bins, the XLamp CMT LED arrays come in correlated color temperatures (CCTs) of 2700K -6500K with standard color options of 70, 80 and 90 CRI.
